Close
up and walk around magic, sometimes referred to as 'Table Hopping' is
fast becoming the 'it' entertainment at product launches, promotions,
corporate dinners, receptions, private parties and in restaurants. As the
performer mingles with the guests and the magic is performed for small
groups of people seated at tables or standing in groups, it has to be the
most versatile of entertainments.
This
is a highly personal type of entertainment in which the audience is
totally involved and where the concept of performer and spectator is
discarded for a more universal experience enjoyed by both magician and
onlooker together.
Pat
Fallon is widely experienced in this area, in fact he is a pioneer of this
type of magical entertainment in Ireland. He has performed in numerous
restaurants and hotels in the Dublin area. These include very long
residencies in the Bon Cher restaurant in Malahide, the Royal Marine Hotel
in Dun Laoghaire, Johnnie Fox's Pub/Restaurant Glencullen and also at a
large number of corporate events both here and in Britain.
He
has been awarded the International Brotherhood of Magicians Shield
and the Setanta Trophy for Micro Magic, both of these were awarded
for his excellence in this particular type of magical entertainment.
In 2000 Pat was invited to join the Inner Magic Circle in London.
In November 2003 he became an Inner Magic Circle Member with Gold
Star, this is a great honour, which reflects the respect, this performer
has from other prominent members of his craft. There are in fact
only 300 gold star members worldwide, these include the likes of
Paul Daniels and David Copperfield. Pat is the first resident Irish
Magician to be awarded this honour as it was given "in
recognition of his outstanding performing ability as a professional
magician".
Pats Gold Star medal from the Inner
Magic Circle.
